Millport Depot about 1950. This is not the first depot at Millport. The first depot was built and probably open in 1887 as Georgia Pacific opened the railroad from Columbus, MS to Birmingham, AL in 1887. In 1894 it became Southern Railway Company which took over operation of the Georgia and Alabama portions of the line. ( Photo courtesy of Gene Cantrell.)
