OLD MACEDONIA/SPROUSE CEMETERY Submitted by Bob Kelly, 12/15/2003 <bkelly66@bellsouth.net> Thanks Bob!!! Located approximately 4 miles west of Ala Hwy 17 just north of Steedley Road in the Mud Creek area. It is located near the southwestern corner of property patented by William Wilson (Mud Creek Bill), which was the SW1/4 of NW1/4 of Section 32, T16S, R15W. Adjacent to property patented by Jeptha Seay in the adjoining Section 31. There are 10 gravestones, only 8 of which are now readable. There are numerous unmarked graves as well as graves marked with native stones. Much of the cemetery is grown up in trees and brush. The area with the grave markers has been kept clear of trees. Wilson)] [Unreadable cement marker – probably Amanda C. Mordecai Wilson: b. Jan 1850 – d.1933 (2nd wife of James M. Wilson; Marker placed by her grandson James Earnest Sisson) ] Cassie T. Sprouse b. August 25, 1850 – d. September 1, 1896 (Castilla T. Deborah, 1st wife of Joel D. Sprouse) Mollie B. Sprouse b. December 30, 1861 –d. September 12, 1922 (Mary [Mollie] Bardon, 2nd wife of Joel D. Sprouse) Joel D. Sprouse b. March 9, 1850 –d. January 29, 1930 2nd Row: James S. Wilson b. August 30, 1876 –d. March 7, 1910 (Son of James M. Wilson & Amanda Mordecai and husband of Mattie Wilson) Lizanar Frances Wilson b. October 1832 –d. September 29, 1909 Wife of J.S. Wilson (This is John Sisson Wilson, a brother of James M.
