Located in Lamar County, Alabama. Directions from Vernon, AL. Go about 8 miles on Highway 18 west to Prospect Road and turn left to Hopper Hollow Road and turn left and go .7 Miles and is on the Property of Mrs . Audie Richards. Permission of the owner of the property should be obtained before going to the grave site.

There is only one tombstone that we were able to find. According to Mrs. Richards, at one time, she remembers 4 or 5 graves at this site and the only names she remembers are Hays.

The Tombstone that we found reads:

W. L. Hays - Dec 25 1829- April 11 1891

Found in the 1870 Sanford County Census TWP 15- Range 15 (Later Lamar County) as a 40

years old school teacher in the home of John W.& Nancy Holliday McDaniel. John W. & Nancy

Holliday McDaniel were my Great Great Grandparents.
